Before starting these steps, please make sure that your document(s) is/are properly loaded into the scanner's feeder tray, or are positioned properly on the scanner glass.
1. Go to the Start Menu, and open Control Panel.
2. From the Control Panel, open Hardware and Sound, and then select Devices and Printers.
3. Right-click on the device you wish to scan from.
4. Select Start Scan.
5. Set the options as appropriate for your desired outcome. (For example, you can choose Black and White, Color, Grayscale, etc. You can also select the output format.)
6. Select Start Scan.
